Transfer Blog To Another Google Account

There are some reason for transferring a blog to another blogger account. I was looking for a way to backup my blog and planning to put it to another blog. I thought i have to back up the blog content, creating a new blog, and restore the back up to the new blog. Why would people do that? Some may asking. For me, my objective is changing the blog that is used for Google adsense application. My problem was i write a lot of blog, but unfortunately the blog that i used for adsense application was not the serious one. My application was rejected. Meanwhile i write in another blog talking different topic with a lot of post and good articles. But it was too bad that i can not change the blog that i used for adsense application. That is the Google policy. I was thinking to create another Blogger account and transfer my article in the new Blog with new Google account.
How to transfer your blog to another Google Account

After googling how to back up the article in Blogger, i found an interesting information about Blogger administrator account. I was surprised that we can add another person as administrator of our blog. The good things is the new administrator will have the same privilege as the original administrator, exactly the same. Even the new additional administrator can remove the original blog administrator. So i do not need to back up my article, create another Blogger account and transfer the back up. I just need to add my other Google email to the blog that i want to transfer.

By doing that i can submit my blog for Google adsense application with different account. If you have the same problem with me, you can follow my tutorial here about how o transfer blog o another Google Account.

1. First create another Google account (for the sake of conversation let call this GA2 stands for Google Account 2).

To make the access easier, it will be better to use two internet browser. For example Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Let say for the new account we will use Google Chrome and for the existing account we will user Mozilla Firefox. Because we need to swithc between one account to another.

2. Login to your current Blogger account (let call this GA1 stands for Google Account 2)

3. Go to your Blogger Dashboard and select the blog that you want to transfer to GA2

4. Go to setting | Basic | Permission | Blog Authors | Add Authors

Add the Google Email address of the new Google Account that has been created before in step 1. Click invite authors to complete the process. We will see an open invitation notification bellow the blog authors information.

5. Open second Google Email (GA2)

Open the other Google Email account and accept the invitation to be contributor of the blog. One thing that we need to remember is that this invitation will expire on 30 days. After you click the "accept invitation" you will be redirected to your Blogger Dashboard. Since your status is writer or contributor only, you can only view and create post in this Blogger Dashboard.

7. Go to your new Blogger Dashboard using second Google Email (GA2)

You will find full asses Blogger Dashboard in your second Google Email. Right now you have the same authority as original administrator. Even you can delete the old administrator from this new account.

By doing this all the article will be stored in the new Google account and can be used in Google Adsense application.
